Long-term debt is borrowing due more than a year out. A large figure is normal for capital-intensive businesses and says nothing on its own about financial health. Figures are for fiscal year 2025 and are read directly from each company's SEC filings; the source column on every row links to the document.

Verizon Communications (VZ) tops the list with $140B in long-term debt for fiscal 2025, ahead of AT&T ($135B) and Charter Communications ($94.0B). The top 10 together report $689B in long-term debt; the gap between #1 and #10 is ×5.47. 116 companies in Communication services report long-term debt, 5.1% of the 2263-filer universe. The last place on the list, Reading International, comes in at $185M.
