Long-term debt is borrowing due more than a year out. A large figure is normal for capital-intensive businesses and says nothing on its own about financial health. Shell (SHEL) tops the list with $66.5B in long-term debt for fiscal 2025, ahead of BP ($54.6B) and British American Tobacco P.L.C ($42.7B). The top 10 together report $297B in long-term debt; the gap between #1 and #10 is ×5.54. 38 companies in the United Kingdom report long-term debt, 1.7% of the 2263-filer universe. The last place on the list, Genius Sports, comes in at $19,000.
