Shareholders' equity is what remains after subtracting liabilities from assets — the accounting book value of the company, not its market value. Figures are for fiscal year 2025 and are read directly from each company's SEC filings; the source column on every row links to the document.
Berkshire Hathaway (BRK-B) tops the list with $717B in shareholders' equity for fiscal 2025, ahead of Alphabet ($415B) and Amazon ($411B). The top 10 together report $3.40T in shareholders' equity; the gap between #1 and #10 is ×3.96. 2599 SEC filers report shareholders' equity; the list shows the top 100. The last place on the list, Newmont, comes in at $33.9B.
