Share buybacks are the cash a company spent during the year repurchasing its own stock, taken from the financing section of the cash-flow statement. Most companies buy back nothing at all — the line is absent rather than zero — so this ranking covers the minority that do. Figures are for fiscal year 2025 and are read directly from each company's SEC filings; the source column on every row links to the document.
Arch Capital (ACGL) tops the list with $1.9B in share buybacks for fiscal 2025, ahead of Renaissancere Holdings ($1.6B) and Axis Capital ($888M). The top 10 together report $7.5B in share buybacks; the gap between #1 and #10 is ×8.43. 23 companies in Bermuda report share buybacks, 1.2% of the 1853-filer universe. The last place on the list, Borr Drilling, comes in at $200,000.
